Ethan Weckstein, DO, Psychiatry

Dr. Ethan Weckstein is a board certified psychiatrist originally from the small Northern Michigan town of Traverse City. Dr. Weckstein is passionate about mental health care and takes a holistic approach combining new therapies such as TMS and Ketamine with traditional pharmacology and experienced psychotherapy. He is a strong advocate of the bioscience principle of neural plasticity. What this means is that by actively working to think differently and change our perspective we can physically change the structure of our brain. New thoughts create new neural pathways and through this we all have the power to help mold our brain to be who we want to be. Newer line therapies such as Transmagnetic Cranial Stimulation (TMS) and Ketamine help to increase neural plasticity and accelerates the process of actively changing our brain and healing from mental health ailments.
